Henry Bennetts and his family moved from Cornwall to South Australia in 1876, sailing on the Hydaspes from Plymouth, Devon to Port Adelaide, South Australia. The family settled in Kadina in the Copper Triangle region of South Australia where Henry Bennetts continued as a miner. As the children grew, and the center of mining shifted away, the family dispersed across Australia.
