Simpson Family Tree

The Simpson family is one of those amazing cases where a family stayed put in one village for five generations. So, we can trace the line through four successive Charles Simpsons. We believe the first Charles Simpson arrived, possibly with his brother, in Badsey, Worcestershire in the late 17th century:

The next Charles Simpson seems to have had three wives. It is difficult to sort out whether his second wife was Mary or Elizabeth: she was given one name when their children were baptized and buried under the other.

The family of Charles Simpson and Mary Oldaker follows. This was the last generation of the family born in Badsey; all of them left the village for various destinations.
